Fund. Their contribution reflects their commitment to supporting students in times of need and ensuring they have the resources to succeed.
Michelle Bullwinkel, Director of Alumni and Donor Relations, along with PHSC student Kyla Flood, had the opportunity to attend the GFWC Historic Brooksville Woman’ s Club meeting. During the meeting, they shared an update on the scholarship fund and highlighted the positive impact their support has had on students like Kyla. Since its establishment in 1999, the Brooksville Woman’ s Club Scholarship has provided over $ 36,000 in awards, supporting nearly 45 PHSC students. The ongoing support from the club continues to make a significant difference in the lives of local students, helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
Thanks to Chris Stambaugh and Helen Huntley, students have the opportunity to receive financial support through the Stambaugh Huntley Scholarship Fund. Since its inception in 2022, five students have been able to continue their education thanks to the generosity of this scholarship. Chris and Helen’ s commitment to education ensures that these students can pursue their academic goals without the burden of financial stress, making a lasting impact on their futures.
David Eisenberg continued his support of PHSC through his generosity designated to performing arts programming at the Instructional Performing Arts Center( IPAC).
Dental hygiene students continue to benefit from the generous support of Periodontal Health Center. Since 2010, 20 students have received scholarships through their commitment to supporting education in the dental field.
Remembering Burton Harres, Jr., Ph. D.
Burton Harres, Jr., Ph. D. was a devoted member of our community, most recently serving as the Vice President of Instruction and West Campus Provost at PHSC. Upon his retirement in 2014, Harres was granted Emeritus status and served as a member of the PHSC Foundation Board from 2015-2021.

Harres was a firm believer in the adage,“ Education is not merely to teach, but to inspire.” He dedicated his life to higher education and was a generous supporter of the Foundation, contributing reliably for over 25 years. The Harres Family Fund was established in 2006 in memory of Burton H. Harres, Sr., Richard J. Harres, and Edna R. Harres, and in honor of Allen and Judy Harres and Arlen and Shirley Harres.
