he PHSC Foundation provided sports enthusiasts with
several opportunities to enjoy Pasco County’s incredible
nature while raising funds for the College’s students. In
February, Tampa Bay Sporting Clays, along with presenting
sponsors Creative Contractors and Harvard Jolly Architecture,
welcomed Foundation supporters to their 260-acre wooded
courses. Including assistance from the PHSC Law Enforcement
Academy class 107, enthusiasts and beginners enjoyed the
obstacles the facility offers. Olivia Walters and Joe Mandracchia
received individual awards. Team trophies were provided to
Capstone Insurance and Berkshire Hathaway for second place
and Saint Leo University for first place. Proceeds from the
tournament netted over $20,000 for the PHSC Foundation.

PHSC Perspective
April showers could not stop the Foundation from holding the
13 th annual Catch and Release Fishing Tournament at Catches
Waterfront Grille on April 26. During a short rain delay, anglers
enjoyed sharing fishing stories with Ronnie Green, host of the
television series, A Fishing Story. When the skies cleared, Steve
Lyndo, TECO, Genevieve O’Hara, J & J Plumbing of Florida,
and Allen Altman, Harvard Jolly Architecture made record
snook, trout and redfish catches. Grand slam winners included
Mark Metheny, Lennar Homes, third place; Marsha LaBrie, J &
J Plumbing of Florida, second place; and Mike Wells, Lennar
Homes, for first place. The tournament netted $16,000 for the
PHSC Foundation.
