Partner Agency Newsletter Summer 2015 | Page 3

Beginning in July 2015, 100% of NTFB's purchased eggs will be available to all agencies at a set cost. This allows you to budget for your egg purchases without the concern of seasonal fluctuations, and still acquire at a significantly cheaper rate than retail costs.

• Food 4 Health is a program that will provide preventative health education and make healthcare focused connections between pantries and healthcare organizations.

Most exciting of all FY16 will be the year we kick off our Network Expansion plan. This strategic, long-term plan will allow us to distribute more nutritious food, especially fresh produce. Together we will continue to move towards closing the hunger gap in North Texas.

To this end, by 2025, NTFB will assist in building the network capacity to distribute 88 million pounds of food per year throughout our service area (roughly 66% more volume than we expect to distribute this year). As part of our strategic plan, we want to invest in our Partner Agencies to ensure that you have the resources you need to deliver food to hungry North Texans.

Over the next 10 years we plan on investing over $20,000,000 in improving our partner’s capabilities. You will receive a communication packet in the mail shortly that will provide further details on how the Network Expansion plan will work.

Let’s keep up the good work!
