C.N.A. How long have you worked at PVHCF? One and a half years. What is your favorite thing about Parkview? I love the residents and staff here! What is your favorite thing to do when you are not at work? Spending time with my family. I have three children, two boys and one girl. Meet Marjorie Syphert , Resident of the Month Marjorie (Margie) Syphert was born on July 25, 1941, in Huron, Mo., to parents Willard and Arleen House. Both of her parents worked as custodians for Warrensburg College. Margie has one brother, Kenneth, and one sister, Mary Ellen. Margie grew up in the Polk area and graduated from Bolivar High School. Margie met Vern Syphert while having dinner at her friend Anna Marie’s house. Vern and Anna Ma- rie were cousins. Margie and Vern married in 1964, at their preacher’s house in Polk. The couple have two children, Debbie and Mike, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Vern worked as a mechanic at Bill Roberts and later drove a truck. Margie worked in housekeeping at Southwest Baptist Uni- versity for approximately three years, and then at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility for 20 years before retiring. Throughout the years, Margie enjoyed spending time with her family and taking long walks. She also enjoyed travelling. The couple often had fun travel- ling to Branson, and also to California to visit family. Margie has also always enjoyed being around animals, dogs and cats are her favorite. While at Parkview, Margie enjoys watching “Little House on the Prairie,” playing bingo, and going to the Beauty Shop. She also enjoys working on word puzzles and having her friends and family visit.
