I've been a nurse for 22
years. I've been at PVHCF
for 4 months.

to do when you are not at
work?
I enjoy hanging out with my
husband on our farm.

Meet Loretta Swanigan, Resident of the Month
Loretta Swanigan was born March 20,
1948, in Kansas City, Mo. Loretta’s father,
Marian, worked as a masonry engineer. She
reflected fondly on him and said, “He was a
wonderful father who worked hard for the fami-
ly. All of us kids loved spending time with him.”
While Marian worked, her mother stayed home
to raise Loretta and her siblings Patricia, April,
and Tommy. Loretta lived in Kansas City
throughout her childhood, until she completed
high school.
Loretta worked a lot of jobs growing up in-
cluding helping care for her siblings, working
around the house, and working for Kilsby Rob-
erts, a steel company. In her adult years, Loret-
ta met her soon to be husband, Lloyd, at a
street fair in Wheatland, Mo. “When our eyes
met, I knew he was the one, and he was stuck with me forever,” said Loretta.
The couple were married on March 17, 2000 in Arkansas. Loretta has two
daughters, Laurie and Lisa, as well as a son, Kenny. Loretta has also been
blessed with seven grandchildren.
During her childhood, she enjoyed playing games with her neighborhood
friends and reading. As she got older she enjoyed sewing and getting more
involved with her church. Currently her favorite activities are spending time
with Lloyd and reading her Bible.
Loretta came to Parkview in July 2018. When asked her favorite part of
living here, she said she enjoys all of the nice people and the caring staff.

ty Resident of the Month!
