July 4 - Independence Day
July was first called Quintillis, which meant fifth
month. When Caesar changed the Roman Calendar, it
became the seventh month. Then, when Caesar was
assassinated the next year, Quintillis, the month in
which he had been born, was renamed Julius (July) in
his honor.
