Strategic Plan
Objective 1 – Community Engagement Parks & Recreation works with our community , partners , and leaders to understand their needs , in an effort to enhance and strengthen relationships , improve our service delivery , and foster a culture of collaboration that engenders community participation .
STRATEGIC RESULT : The community recognizes Parks & Recreation as an actively engaged partner in ensuring creative programming , thriving parklands and neighborhood parks , and centers vested in and focused on their respective community needs .
Goal 1.1 – Improve Customer Satisfaction Improve our customer service satisfaction rating by 5 % by June 2018 through enhancing the quality of our customer interface .
INTENDED RESULT : Services meet or exceed the needs of customers per the customer satisfaction outcomes .
Goal 1.2 – Strengthen Partnerships Leverage new and existing partnerships to generate 5 % annual growth in supplemental resources . ( Community Partners , sponsorships , foundation-based collaboratives ( e . g ., Toyota , Bloomberg ), public / private partnerships .)
INTENDED RESULT : Strengthened partnerships , increased support from nonprofit partners , enhanced programming , and related impacts that are transparent to the community .
Goal 1.3 – Improve Branding Increase brand or market recognition by 5 % annually .
INTENDED RESULT : We are a national accredited agency recognized as a leader in parks and recreation among our peer agencies and customers .
Goal 1.4 – Institute Client-Focused Programming Improve and restructure the program portfolio by December 2020 such that it meets the criteria of CAPRA and NRPA standards , and increases participation by 2.5 % annually with an emphasis in the “ underrepresented ” neighborhoods as defined by “ health equity report outcomes ”.
INTENDED RESULT : An easily accessible portfolio of programs that increase the client base by providing programs that reach diverse populations both geographically and culturally ; and increase retention and lower program cancellation rates .
