Emily Laszczak
Emily is a WPCAS volunteer
and was a 2018 bachelorette.
She is also an accounting assistant
at Karen S. Walton, CPA.
PCT: What do you do to decompress?
EL: I volunteer at the Weatherford
Parker County Animal Shelter. While
it can be stressful, it’s my happy
place.
PCT: What is something many people
don’t know about you?
EL: I read a lot. I usually read at least
1-2 novels a week. I also go to a ton
of concerts.
PCT: What would you most like to be
remembered for?
EL: Being selfless and helping others
as much as humanly possible. And of
course, being funny.
Parker County Today: What is your
favorite novel?
EL: As much as I read and love sus-
pense novels, memoirs, and historical
fiction, Harry Potter will always hold
a very special place in my heart, and
has since I was very little.
PCT: What’s your favorite way to pay
it forward?
EL: I love surprising people with little
gifts to tell them how much they
mean to me, or how much I appreci-
ate them.
PCT: If you could have lunch with
anyone, living or dead in history, who
would it be?
EL: Lucille Ball. I need a good laugh.
Or, Zac Efron.
PCT: If you had to do another job
other than what you’re doing, what
would you do?
EL: I would love to be a wild life
rehabber, working with strange and
exotic animals, and helping them get
back to health before releasing them
back into the wild.
PCT: What is your definition of the
best day ever?
EL: Having breakfast with my parents,
spending all day at a musical festival
with friends, and then coming home
to a litter of cute puppies in my living
room.
PCT: What’s the best piece of advice
you would give?
EL: Take the opportunity to do fun
things. Take the trip, go to the con-
cert, make all the memories.
PCT: What is the coolest thing you
have done in your life?
EL: Definitely participating in PCT’s
2018 Bachelorette, hosting a ton of
insanely fun fundraisers, and raising
money for my animal shelter.
