Shae Allred — Owner of Flora Decora Shae is all about natural design and helping others through therapeutic practice. Music moves Shae and she used to play drums on shoeboxes. Her favorite way of paying it forward is supporting local organizations such as Parker Paws and “offering our services to those in need where we can be help- ful.” Her best piece of advice? “Trust the process; it’s so simple, yet incredibly powerful!” Shae would most like to be remembered for staying true and authentic, for being a kind and compassionate person, and for waking up every day determined to both save the world and have one hell of a good time.  Toni Rhodes — Volunteer Goddess  86 Toni Rhodes is a local treasure and serves by being involved with inter- national, local and North American missions, along with being involved with cancer care. She volunteers at a local children’s camp with Brian McKay, all through North Side Baptist Church. “I serve because the Lord has called me to serve. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus calls us to: ‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.’” Most people will be tickled to know that when this breast cancer survivor was 13, she entered a dance competition called “Buscando Estrellas (Star Search).” “I danced the twist with my own personal live band and won first place.” She also teaches English to non-English speakers. Her best piece of advice came from her mom? “Pray, read God’s word and be obedient to His calling.” Toni wants to be remembered as being a servant of God, a good role model and a caring, compassionate person.  Photo by Michael Wong
