David NASH
Phil LIVINGSTON
David Nash was born on July 19, 1940 and passed away January 28, 2026. He was a proud lifetime resident and rancher, residing on his family ranch in the Hiner Community of western Parker County. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Nash was a heavy equipment operator and pipeliner, as well as a rancher during his working career. David was a 53 year life member of the Parker County Sheriff’ s Posse, joining in 1973. David served as Wrangler in 1984. His daughter, Lisa was Posse Sweetheart in 1982, and David was a very active member of the Posse for many years. He attended the Posse’ s first trip to Cheyenne in 2012. He and his family religiously attended family night each month until his health and eyesight limited his ability to participate. David always made a hand when there was need to cook for Posse events. He continued to keep abreast of Posse activities through his friends and frequently made phone calls to register his feelings toward changes to the operations of the Posse. One memorable call had to do with Posse members playing golf during the annual campout. In true Posse spirit- David wanted the Captain to know that we should be riding horses … not playing golf.
David Nash received his 25 year membership award in 1998, his 40 year plaque in 2013 and his 50 year life membership in 2023.
The memory of David’ s friendships and contributions to the Posse will live on for many years to come. He will certainly be missed, but will never be forgotten by all who knew and loved him.
