West Rowan High School’s “Marching Falcons” won the title of “Grand Champion” for the 1A, 2A, and 3A divisions. In addition, the students brought home
the following winnings:
n 1st Place Drum
Major
n 1st Place Music
n 1st Place Effect
n 1st Place Percussion
n 2nd Place Marching,
and
n 1st Place in Class 3A
with a rating of “Superior”

Grace Yatawara for being named the NCHSAA
(NC High School Athletic Association) Female
“Performer of the Week,” awarded by Time
Warner Cable and Subway. Grace was
recognized throughout an entire week on Time
Warner Cable News and will be honored again
at the end of the school year.
