a student submits an assignment that was previously completed and graded for another course . If a student wants to rework a paper that was submitted for another course , they must ask their current teacher for permission to do so .
Roles and Responsibilities in Building Understanding and Maintaining Academic Honesty
The School will :
• Update the Academic Honesty and Integrity Agreement annually ;
• Make the agreement available to the community in the Parent & Student Handbook as well as on the student advisory page on Canvas ;
• Ensure students are given an opportunity to “ tell her side of the story ” before determining the outcome or potential discipline related to academic honesty and integrity ; and
• Maintain accurate records of all incidences related to academic honesty and integrity .
Teachers will :

• Provide the particular requirements for the course and assignments with specific emphasis on using different sources of information ;
• Instruct students and provide practice in different ways of correctly incorporating information from various sources without plagiarizing ;
• Ensure acknowledgement of sources of materials for class use ;
• Outline expectations for student conduct during the completion of out-of-class assessment tasks including :
• Resources that may be accessed before and during completion of task , and
• If collaboration with peers or others is permitted ;
• Outline and enforce expectations for student conduct during an in-class assessment task including the following :
• Specifying those items required for or permitted for access during the assessment ,
• Requiring all students to affirm their commitment and obligation ( see below ),
• Restricting unrequired materials , in particular cell phones , either by collecting them at the teacher ’ s assigned space or securing them out of sight ,
• Asking students to close their bags , and
• Actively supervising and , in particular , monitoring students ’ responses , and ensuring students ’ work is out of the view of others .
• Develop a holistic sense of student learning through triangulation of evidence collected over time . This evidence includes :
• Ongoing and timely feedback through informal means such as conversation , observation as well as more formal documented feedback focused on process and product
• Monitoring of individual student learning through tracking achievement over a period of time
• Evidence of developmental process
Students will :
• Produce coursework and write tests without plagiarizing , cheating or colluding ;
