teachers . Parents / guardians are welcome and encouraged to communicate directly with their daughter ’ s advisor as their first port of call should they have any updates , questions or concerns about their progress .
Students come together in advisory on a regular basis throughout a typical week in the Senior School . Specifically , students meet with their advisors twice a week , including one , 25-minute advisory session on Tuesdays and one , 60-minute extended advisory session for skill development on Thursdays . All students and their advisors attend assemblies on Mondays and Fridays . Students are expected to attend advisory and assemblies as they would any other scheduled class .
Assemblies
Senior School regularly scheduled assemblies Senior School regularly scheduled assemblies are held twice a week on Mondays and Fridays . Monday assemblies are formal in nature with students in # 1 Uniform and the singing of “ O ’ Canada ”. Friday assemblies are less formal .
Assembly topics may be proposed and delivered by students or staff , including the Head of School . Spaces where the assemblies are viewed and attended are flexible according to the purpose .
Throughout the year a small number of special assemblies are added to the schedule to accommodate guest speakers , support unique activities or events or gather whole grades together for important announcements .
