A student ’ s involvement in school sport provides opportunities and experiences that are important to the development of a wellrounded student . Student-athletes must remember , however , that their participation in school sport is a privilege , not a right .

Intramurals
All students , Grades 1 – 5 , are welcome to participate in house intramurals , which take place weekly during the year . Grades 4 – 5 participate beginning in September , Grades 2 – 3 participate beginning in January and Grade 1 students participate beginning in April . The girls love to contribute to the house competition by earning house points through their participation . The emphasis is on participation and fun , school spirit and enjoying an active lifestyle .
CHS Lunch League
All Grade 6 – 7 students are invited to participate in the Lunch League . Students who sign up are randomly placed onto teams and then compete in a tournament- type play during lunch hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays . Each term concludes with the top two teams playing in a championship game and a Lunch League Champion wins the CHS Lunch League Trophy . The emphasis is on participation and fun in an arena of healthy competition where everyone gets equal playing time . No practice attendance is required . This is a great option for those students who cannot commit to the regular school team practices and still want to compete on a team .
