Morning Drop-off
• Parents / guardians of Grade 4 to 6 students can choose to drop students off in the roundabout at the designated time , or park off-campus and walk their daughter onto campus . There is no parking in the roundabout during scheduled drop-off .
• Parents / guardians with information to convey to the teacher in advance of the day may walk to the classroom for a brief conversation ; however , the aim is for students to make their way to their classroom independent of a parent / guardian in order to foster an independent and deliberate start for all students .
• Grade 7 students should be dropped off off-campus and enter campus by foot through the pedestrian gate on Blenheim Street . Roundabout drop-off is reserved for our younger students .
Afternoon Pick-up
• Parents / guardians of Grade 4 to 6 students can choose to drive through the roundabout at the designated time and pick up students who will be waiting at the curb , or park offcampus and walk onto campus to meet their daughter . There is no parking in the roundabout during scheduled drop-off .
• Grade 7 students will be collected at an off-campus location and designated meeting point established with parents / guardians . If there are younger siblings in the family , they will be picked up in front of the Beedie Fine Arts Centre .
SIBLINGS
• Families with siblings within two different arrival and departure times will arrive at the earliest time for drop-off and depart at the latest time . Supervision for siblings will be provided .
ROUNDABOUT GUIDELINES
• There is no parking in the roundabout during drop-off ( 7:15 am to 9:00 am ) or pick-up ( 2:45 pm to 5:30 pm ).
• When using the roundabout for drop-off and pick-up , punctuality is essential to avoid congestion and ensure student safety .
• We encourage families to park on the streets close to the school and enjoy a calm walk and conversation to start and end the day with your daughter .
• It is important to always follow the direction of the facilities team and Provident Security attendants . They are tasked with ensuring student safety , keeping traffic flowing and ensuring respect for our neighbours .
• It is recommended parents / guardians read the Traffic Safety section in the Whole School Handbook .
Late Arrival
When a child arrives late to school , they must enter via the ECE or Junior School office . The Parent / guardian is welcome to drive into the roundabout and call the office , or walk-in to meet your daughter at the office .
Drive in and call :
• Upon arrival on campus , parent / guardian and student call the Junior School Office ( 604- 263-3256 ) or ECE Office ( 604-676-0457 ) from their car to alert us of your arrival .
• Student will then walk to the front entrance and connect with staff at the office to sign in .
• Once signed in , student will make their way to class .
• Students should not go directly to class . Signing in at the office is an essential safety step .
