Uniform Requirements
All Crofton House School students must wear the complete regulation school uniform during school hours . We ask that parents / guardians assist in having their daughters attend school in the correct uniform each day .
The # 1 Uniform is required on Mondays ( Grade 1 to 7 ) and Tuesdays ( ECE Centre ), special assembly days ( as specified by the School ), school outings and formal school occasions . Activity badges , sewn onto the pocket of the blazer , are an exciting way for students to acknowledge their participation in co-curricular activities . All uniform items should be clean and pressed at all times and clearly labelled with the student ’ s name . Tunics and skirts must be of an appropriate length , that is , a minimum of fingertip length plus one repeat ( or pattern ) of the Gordon plaid when the student is standing tall with arms down at her sides . Students are reminded to always wear school biker shorts under their tunics and skirts as part of the school uniform .
Young girls participate in school life by running , jumping and actively engaging in their environment both inside school buildings and outside on the beautiful CHS campus . We ask that shoes be flat with a secure strap or laces . Tying hair back helps students to have a clear vision of their school work and also maintains safety while outside and in the gym .
A shared uniform is a powerful symbol of an inclusive learning environment and a sense of belonging to the tradition of Crofton House School . Therefore , it is not appropriate to personalize the uniform with additional coloured accessories or unique items .
Students play outside in all weather ; please be certain that your daughter has appropriate outdoor gear , especially rainwear .
Young students often misplace items of clothing . Since all uniform pieces look alike , it is extremely helpful for everything to be clearly labeled with your daughter ’ s name ( even socks and hair scrunchies ). This ensures that lost items are returned to the correct owner .

The # 1 Uniform will be worn for Tuesday assemblies , parent assemblies , special assemblies and on curricular excursions unless otherwise specified . All items should be purchased through the Uniform Shop with the exception of footwear , tights and socks .
