Incentives for Staff and Students
Crofton House School promotes green initiatives for staff and students . The Transportation Incentive includes alternatives to vehicle fuel usage by offering subsidies for public transit , carpooling and biking . Staff also have access to a fully-equipped bike room .
What All Members of Our Community Can Do
• Carpool , walk , bicycle or use transit as much as possible
• Do not idle your car
• Use the appropriate garbage containers on school property to separate recyclable and compostable material from landfill material
• Pick up garbage found on the property
• Take only as much food as you can eat to avoid excess waste
• Choose reusable containers or bags as much as possible
• Avoid individually wrapped foods that create an abundance of garbage when choosing snacks or packed meal ingredients
• Reuse school supplies from one year to the next
• Maintain the natural environment by caring for the plants and animals on campus
• Report any issue related to caring for the campus to administration
