COMMUNICATION
Always keep in mind that parents and teachers make up a team. As teachers, our aim is to always give
your child the best education possible. For this to happen, good communication between parents and
teachers is essential.
Please use the diary/homework book to write messages to your child’s teacher - we check and
sign these every day. Messages written elsewhere may not be found or seen by us during our
busy classroom routine.
Sensitive messages are to be written separately and placed in a sealed envelope. Attach the
envelope to the diary with a paper clip. Encourage your child to tell us if you have written a
special message for us.
Money must be sent to school in a sealed envelope, marked with your child’s name and class.
If your child is absent, please do not forget to send a note to school explaining why your child has
missed school, or call the office and leave a message.
Emailing is an easy way to communicate with us. Our school email addresses are available on
the school website and D6 School Communicator.
Teachers often do not get the opportunity to look at emails until the late afternoon; therefore, it
is not recommended that emails be used for urgent messages. Rather phone the office and
