What does it mean?

Here’ s a quick look at terminology you may find frequently used by the USASF and throughout All Star.
USASF All Star Club
A USASF All Star Club is an organization, gym or studio that participates in USASF-sanctioned competitions. USASF member clubs must:
• have an active USASF membership;
• have at least one owner / coach;
• have at least four member athletes;
• have proof of liability insurance;
• accept and follow the guidelines and standards of the USASF Code of Conduct & Compliance; and
• have policies in place to address: athlete sexual abuse prevention, electronic communication, bullying, travel and billeting.
USASF Coach
A coach is an individual who actively coaches All Star athletes and is associated with a U. S. All Star club. A USASF coach must:
• be an active member of the USASF;
• be at least 18 years old;
• have a JDP background screening with a green light determination;
• complete abuse prevention education; and
• accept and follow the guidelines and standards of the USASF Code of Conduct & Compliance.
USASF Sanctioned Competitions
A USASF-sanctioned competition is an All Star competition hosted by an approved event producer that meets strict safety, fairness and athlete-wellness standards. These standards include:
• Consistent rules, age divisions and regulations for fair play.
• Verified athlete rosters and supervised warm-up areas.
• Background checks for adult participants, coaches and staff.
• Certified USASF legality officials available onsite or oncall.
• Onsite EMTs or athletic trainers for emergency care.
• Accident and catastrophic insurance coverage for USASF member athletes and coaches
