KILLER

CLOWN

There were also glitches with some of the puppets used in the movie as well. Apparently, the famous clown that has given many Coulrophobia, a fear of clowns, malfunctioned and almost killed Oliver Robins, who plays the little boy in the film. Steven Spielberg himself had to rescue the boy.

Death seemed to follow the Poltergeist trilogy as well. Dominique Dunne, only twenty-two at the time, was strangled to death by her boyfriend after rehearsing some lines for the movie. Even more tragic, Heather O'Rourke died of septic shock at only twelve years old. There were two more deaths, but they didn't come as a shock. Both actors had illnesses. Julian Beck, the evil preacher, died of cancer that he had been battling with for years. Will Sampson who played Taylor, the Native-American shaman, had complications from a heart-lung transplant.

Paranormal events at one point upset the cast so much that the set was left open so that an exorcism could be performed by Will Sampson - who is an actual Native-American shaman.

NEW CURSE!

Despite all the strange and curious mishaps involved in the creation of these films, Hollywood has decided revamp this classic horror. Will the curse that plagued the trilogy in the 80's come back to cause more trouble? We'll have to wait and see. According to the Internet Movie Database, the movie is due to be released on July 24th 2015.
