Do yourself a favor and skip the mushy romantic movie this Valentine’s day. Instead you may want to sit down with a nice, thrilling horror movie. Yes, a horror movie. Studies show that thrillers increase serotonin and dopamine: two chemicals that can trigger sexual arousal. Just make sure it scares them but doesn't make them grossed out. Being grossed out is sure to put them out of the mood.

We, at Paranormal Life, suggest horror movies such as the Poltergeist trilogy. While most horror movies don't age very well, this one is surely a classic! Not only was the original movie plagued with a curse so severe the actors refused to continue making sequels but they are now working on re-creating Poltergeist. Here are some of the many peculiar incidents that occurred when the original Poltergeist trilogy was created:

Many different stories float around on the internet about what happened during the shooting of the movies. Some more exaggerated stories state that every actor involved in the filming of the movie died. This is not true. However, there were plenty of accidents, odd events, and even deaths.

Zelda Rubinstein, the famous medium in the original film, received a call while she was working on the film and was informed her mother had passed away. When video editors reviewed the video footage, they spotted a mysterious white mist around her at the same time as her mother's death. The mist, that failed to appear on any of the other footage, had no known source.

In an interview with JoBeth Williams for VH1's I Love the 80's, she reveals that the skulls used during the famous pool scene in the movie were real skulls! She states that purchasing authentic human skulls were cheaper at the time the film was made. Whether or not the skulls were of real human remains has never been proven.
