Callaway, or one of his guides, will help you navigate state fishing regulations, licensing requirements and provide the shark fishing gear.
Day of the fishing trip, he said they bring all of the drinks, tackle, bait and gear you will need.
According to Callaway, everything is set up for you by a shark fishing guide on the beach. He said they use drones for bait placement up to 1,000 yards out. Callaways said they are not allowed by law to use the drones to fish or spot for fish.
Unlike the honeyholes you find in lakes and ponds, Callaway said fishing for sharks is different every day.
“ Weather, tides, currents, the color of the water, temperature, wind, all of it play a part in ocean guide work,” he said.“ There are no two days alike and it can shift from moment to moment.”
Callaway said weather didn’ t really bother him, but he does keep a watchful eye on the shoreline to keep his clients safe at all times.
