is learning new tricks every day . Calloway is the business mind behind the venture , but learns more and more every day about automotive wizardry . The best part of the whole picture is that the path forward is wide open .
“ Chase can ’ t stand still . He ’ s constantly researching and learning and finding our direction ,” McClendon said . “ I quit my job and it scared the crap out of me . It ’ s been terrifying to be this happy , but we ’ re doing it .”
“ We both worked extremely hard to be debt-free before we started this ,” Calloway said . “ That gave us the solid ground to stand on . Now it ’ s up to us to make it work .”
Calloway and McClendon just build cars right now , but the future is wide open . Both men expect The Journey HQ to morph into something more diverse , with more projects in varied fields . But for now it ’ s strictly about doing what makes them happy .
“ Our mission , if you will , was to not become old men regretting the things we didn ’ t do ,” McClendon said . “ Now we just have to maintain that perspective .”
