Jason Stephens started contributing to the local economy as a young entrepreneur . After graduating from Westwood in 1993 , he opened his first business , Custom Tinting by RAM in 1997 . That was a lucrative business for nearly 10 years until Jason decided to focus his attention on Satellite Source , which he has owned for almost 30 years . His passion for technology is what motivated his focus on Satellite Source and how digital programming could enhance people ’ s lives . “ As I ’ ve grown older , my focus has shifted to health and fitness , making living a long and healthy life my top priority . This passion inspired me to purchase Anytime Fitness in 2022 , which later led me to open Smoothie King in 2024 ” said Stephens . When asked why he chose to invest in his hometown , Jason replied , “ Owning a business in Palestine is a uniquely rewarding experience . The close-knit community fosters strong relationships , allowing me to connect with customers . The town ’ s rich history and ongoing revitalization efforts , particularly in the historic downtown area , create a vibrant atmosphere that supports local enterprise .” Over 30 years and 4 successful businesses later , he must have good advice … Jason says “ adapt and innovate .
