font looks handwritten and scribbled. Considering the conditions these journal
entries were written under it is more than likely that they were hand written.
This contrasts with the neatly typed patient logs that analyze both the book and
the patient. The patient logs are where the majority of the analysis is conducted.
However, both will touch on the multiple creative interpretations that Nabokov
leads readers to explore. It is important to keep in mind that each journal entry
sets the tone for the next patient log.

I finished it today. Today I finished the book. Books are a great way to past
the time. Time is fleeting, every second. Seconds tick by and they ask why I
wrote this. This is why they won’t understand it. It is too complicated for the
sane. Sane is not what I am.
I had Jell-O for lunch today. Today it was red. Red like strawberries. Straw-
