A Note from the Editor:
Our editorial team has thoughtfully put together a journal that discusses the
topic of identity. The trouble of identifying the speaker of Pale Fire is one debate
worth many hours of discussion. The papers that we have carefully organized
touch on this debate in very unique ways. They tell stories and explain perspec-
tives from the different identities in the book. They delve into the complexities
of each character of Pale Fire and explain how although they are all different in
respects to age or gender, ultimately they could be one in the same (or they are
possibly just all different people and we are over analyzing this). Overall, this is a
journal about self-discovery and the never-ending journey of finding yourself
through fictitious characters.
