Shown here are two paintings by Philip Westcott. These are contemporary paintings yet they are
indebited to the artists from the golden era of the new impressionists and post impressionists, but
with their own natural style. Philip Westcott is a painter of great experience and has been creating his
unique work with observational purity for decades. The two examples shown here demonstrate his
ability to translate nature as a unified force and not a collection of singularities. In the paintings above
Philip has zoomed in to capture the action of the stream flowing. The work below demonstrates how the
artist observes the view infront of him, and then feels the energy by applying short strokes of paint
which gives the surface texture its appeal to the viewer of it.
