The artist has benefited from a fine art education at John Moores University in Liverpool, studying there for three years (1995 to 1998). For the last five or six years Lucy has been creating great paintings, full of life and movement and has a growing body of admirers and collectors. Her landscape oil work, in particular, have a ‘solid’ feel about them - And the strong colour palette suits her impasto paint application. She enjoys the shear rawness of nature and takes her inspiration from far and wide - Cumbria to Cornwall. Wide open spaces, dramatic seas, rushing water and the wildest of the untouched English Moors, all receive her creative eye’s attention. Instinctively transmitted into paintings that impress the viewer of them.
