Patrick Spohrer is paintball’s filmmaker. He tells
the stories about our sport’s
top players and sees things
through a lens nobody else
can. Together with wife Bonnie DeMenge, they bring
those stories to the world.
Their company, Monkey
With a Gun Productions, has
brought the paintball world
films like Push, Sunday Drivers, Heroes for a Day, Cereal
Killers and CK2, which have
showcased the lives and
playing ability of some of
paintball’s very best players.
Universally loved and respected, Patrick and Bonnie
continue to wow the paintball world with every new
movie they release.
George Statler
George Statler founded Bullseye Paintballs in 1988 after
owning Nature’s Best Vitamins. If you haven’t figured
out the tie-in there... paintballs are manufactured using
encapsulating machines, just
like the ones that encapsulate vitamins, minerals and
supplements. George was a
very public paintball figure
playing on several teams
including his own Bullseye
Snipers. He also sponsored
many teams, including
the Ironmen, Terminators,
Black Diamonds and others.
George once publicly challenged Jeff Perlmutter to a
$10,000 one-on-one match
but Jeff never accepted. Jeff
of course was the man behind PMI and their RP Scher-
er paintballs. George also
founded the Bullseye fiveman series tournament series in 1991.
Rob Staudinger
After two years of the Philly
Americans dominating the
NXL, Rob Staudinger’s Baltimore Trauma stepped up
their game and shocked the
Americans to win their first
NXL Championship. Rob went
on to be a PSP partner and
the provider of compressed
air services to some of the
biggest events in the world.
Rob owns Paintball Central, a
large paintball store and field
chain in the southeast with
three world-class fields and
several pro-shops.
Simon Stevens
Simon Studied Mechanical
Engineering at University
of Sussex, England. Simon
has engineered hundreds of
paintball products, most of
which are still being used
today. He worked as the
Director of Research and
Development at KEE Action
Sports and now owns Inception Designs where he continues to innovate.
Mark Stiffler, Reggie Denner
Mark and Reggie were the
founders of North American
Paintball Referee’s Association (NAPRA) and pantball
safety advocates in the early 1990s, when the game’s
products, guidelines, rules
and referees were not as
defined (or in some cases,
followed) as they are today.
