Caleb Strong
Although he opened an outdoor field almost two years
earlier in 1982, Caleb Strong
opened the first indoor
paintball field in the world in
1984 in Buffalo, New York.
Strong was also a member
of the PMI Piranhas, a highly
decorated tournament team
of the 80s as well as a PMI
distributor.
Tyler Tiberius
While he was running his
new company Tiberius Arms,
Tyler Tiberius was still attending school at Brigham
Young University, where in
2006 he won their Student
Entrepreneur of the Year
competition. In his senior
year of business management Tyler entered a magazine fed paintball gun into
the competition and that gun
and Tyler are credited as
being the first-ever mag-fed
paintball gun. Tiberius Arms
has since launched dozens
of successful and creative
products, such as their T8
Pistols, T9 Rifles, First Strike
Paintballs and many more.
Tiberius Arms also acquired
Guerrilla Air in 2012.
Dennis Tippmann
When Dennis Tippmann
came into the paintball industry, he came in with
a bang. His first gun, the
full-auto SMG-60, was
ground-breaking. If that
wasn’t enough, Tippmann
virtually invented the paint
grenade. Tippmann also pioneered constant air for
the masses and developed
semi-automatic paintball
guns into reliable, consistent
machines that players could
rely on game after game.
Tippmann soldiers on today as the name everyone
equates to reliability and
simplicity.
Dennis Tippmann Jr.
It’s impossible to credit
Dennis Tippmann with the
company’s success without
recognizing the efforts of his
son, Dennis Tippmann Jr.
“Junior,” as he’s referred to
by his peers is the creator,
designer and engineer of
most of the Tippmann marker line from the early 1990s
to the present. And in 2013
he was named CEO of Tippmann Sports where he remains as influential as ever.
Ben Torricelli
You may know Ben as the
man behind MPP Games, the
scenario production company that runs several role
playing games each year on
the East Coast of the U.S.
But long before that he was
a successful Florida paintball
field owner and long time
partner and right hand man
of Wayne Dollack. Ben also
played tournament paintball
in the 80s with Bad Company of Florida
