The paintball community is disproportionately affected by mental health issues and domestic violence , and in order to bring awareness to these issues , a group of volunteers is hosting the Graper Memorial Highland Games at Skirmish IoN this year to support American Foundation for Suicide Prevent and Ally Remembered Foundation .
The event is intended to be a fun way to raise awareness of extremely heavy issues and to support members of our community who are doing great things to serve those in need . Ally Remembered has been a supporter of the paintball community in many ways , but is also actively providing resources for abuse recovery and developing outreach programs to aid in breaking the cycle .
The Highland Games will consist of eighteen individuals participating in a mock-strongman competition on Friday July 12 at Skirmish to compete for a sponsor-donated prize package . The event organizers are actively seeking sponsors for this event .
