You were a staple in the paintball business world for more than 15 years . How are you adjusting to life after paintball ? plotted . I ’ ve researched and studied , thinking what I can do that will meet these 3 goals : 1 , Pay the bills . 2 , Get me out of the house and most importantly 3 , Make me happy .

When you spend nearly 30 years doing one thing , it ’ s hard to imagine doing something else . It ’ s hard to switch gears and start fresh . After leaving the paintball industry it took me a while to adjust to not being there . While the job provided money , security and structure , it also gave me friendships , allowed me to travel and make lasting memories .
While I don ’ t miss the office hours or year-end inventory counts , I do miss the people I worked with , my customers and friends . As I travel along my new journey , something has always stuck out . One thing has always risen to the surface in every conversation or plan that I created . I truly enjoy making people happy . Over the years , I always prided myself on being a great closer . Someone who could get any sale and hit any goal . But over my last few years in the industry I was doing more customer service related things . While not the same level of excitement as closing the big sale , it was actually a higher level of satisfaction when you went home knowing you made someone else very happy . You took a potential problem and created a solution that made someone else say thank you . That made me happy .
I knew no matter what I did going forward , customer service was going to be my number one priority . I ’ ve always dreamed of owning my own store . I love movies , when I was younger I always wanted to own a video rental store . Unfortunately , that shipped has sailed , but my passion to own my own shop has not .
So that ’ s where I am at now . ( Editor ’ s note : More on this coming in a future issue ).
