You run a very successful business outside of paintball . What motivates you to continue to travel to every major paintball event year after year to shoot photos ?
I have a very simple one-word answer : Insanity
But what a ride it has been ! In the past 20 years I have been to just about every continent … met kings , prime ministers and the movers and shakers of our industry . I could have never imagined that my selftaught camera skills could have taken me so far .
I am clearly out of my mind to continue to do this , but I have been in this sport since 1986 and as a result I am a lifer and there is no escape . The financial loss I suffer as a result is incalculable .
I have also worked for every major paintball league worldwide developing media protocols to make it easier for my fellow photographers . I take a lot of satisfaction with the knowledge that I have mentored and undoubtedly launched many people into photography , and I am probably training people who will one day knock me off the perch I currently occupy in the paintball photography world .
