You were a very public paintball figure for more than a decade and then you vanished overnight . What happened ?
As everyone knows I was traveling for paintball all the time . I was only home one or two weeks a month if I was lucky . Even when I was at home paintball still occupied much of my time . I would literally spend hours every day on the phone setting things up or talking to sponsors about a variety of things . I would take my family on a lot of the trips but that was not possible all the time . My daughter was in school and my wife Sharon was involved in many of my daughter ’ s school projects .
I was set to do another big game at Paintball Sam ’ s in Racine , Wisconsin , a game I looked for to every year as a lot of my friends in the industry like Tom Kaye , “ Paintball Dave ” and many others would show up to play . To say nothing about the terrific people that came to hang out with me and play .
As I said I was getting ready to go to the big game so I was trying to get things done at home . I was on my tractor doing some work when I rolled it over . Fortunately , it didn ’ t land on me but when I bailed off of it I bruised my ribs , hip and shoulder . Let ’ s just say I was definitely bruised . My contract with Brass Eagle had ended so I had no further obligation to them and traveling was definitely out of the question because I was pretty sore .
So as I was laid up I was reconnecting with a lot of my old friends that I hadn ’ t gotten to talk with much because I was always traveling and we had different interests . One of my former employees at my construction company and I would go to the hills gold-mining … actually dredging .
