Greg Hastings - Everyone knows Greg Hastings is the name and driving force behind the whole best-selling paintball video game thing , something that brought paintball to a completely new audience and further legitimized our sport . However , that ’ s not all Greg has done for our game . Beyond that , he was also an accomplished and successful professional player for teams like Ground Zero Gold and XSV , and that whole comfortable paintball pack thing ? Yeah , he invented that back in nineties when he sewed a harness onto a back belt .
Keith Idema - The poster child for hot-headed , egotistical , self-important out of control behavior , Idema entered the game as a player , then the owner / founder of Idema Combat Systems which made and sold a variety of paintball vests and other products . Idema ’ s Puppy Paint was made with a dog print on each ball , something he did in honor of his dog Sargie . Idema also was known for his “ Sargie Awards ” which he would give out at various paintball events . The thing Idema is best known for in paintball was his constant physical threatening of players and those in the industry , which on more than one occasion did become a reality .
David “ Reaper ” Justin – There are several paintball ambassadors , those that put their own priorities in the game on the backburner for the betterment of the sport . The leader of that pack is David “ Reaper ” Justin , who works tirelessly to promote paintball through playing big games , scenario games and magfed games , as well as personal appearances , his own podcast and traveling the world to spread paintball ’ s good name . For 15 years no one has done it better .
Bob McGuire - Owner of the APL and PTI . Bob was one of the first to offer paintball insurance to fields and provide a safety structure . He also ran the APL five-man series , which was successful for several years , allowing your “ ordinary ” player to get a taste foe tournament level play . He founded the PTI Paintball training institute which has provided airsmithing and field operations classes all in one package . And if that wasn ’ t enough Bob had a cable TV show and has filmed and edited dozens of paintball evens over the years .
