I would love to see the movers and shakers in this game work together better , and more often . I know there are many reasons why that ’ s a tough ask . But it could be game-changing .
I think the common player can play a role in making this game better . Spend your money with companies that are clearly making the game better , or at least trying to . Treat other players with respect , online , at the field … wherever .
What advice can you give to burgeoning media professionals in this industry ?
Recognize that the people in this game that have money are not likely to support a newcomer . Figure out how to monetize what you do , or you will be like the last 15 magazines that published three issues and closed their doors … or the last 100 photographers that went to all of the major events for a season , then disappeared … or like the million bloggers or YouTubers that never last .
Or email or message me . There are literally dozens or even hundreds of writers , photographers or videographers that contributed for us for long enough to create a name for themselves and an identity which would later help them to monetize what they did later .
