There were no doubt some tough fire fights on the map . As a photographer I found myself caught between many of these battles . Catching round of paintballs and first strikes to my body and camera . The referees also took some rounds but kept the game safely going for the event . Just because the players battle each other for 20 mins battles does not mean that they always gain points . It is about keeping to the mission roles and acting within the games theme .

Final Battle

Following the major Saturday game is the “ final battle ” on Sunday . Around noonish Viper goes over the safety rules before the massive 100 vs 100 speedball game . Black Tree Paintball had the best area for this game . With 100 plus yards of old cars , spools , tires with makeshift bases on both sides for players to battle in an hour-long battle . It is based around the “ slap stick ” game to gain points . And many players felt the pain of being bonus balled for those extra points .
Afterwards , players gather in the main stage for door prizes , some friendly trash talking , and simply good ole ’ laughing . No matter what side of a player was on the winners are the next generation of players called “ the young gunz .” These kids are now forever hooked on the sport of paintball . www . paintball . media
