Paintball Under the Thai Sun: Nawasia Series Heats Up in Bangkok
Thailand brought the heat... literally for the 2nd leg of Nawasia Paintball Competition Series on 2-3 August 2025, at SAP Sports Field. With the real-feel temperature soaring to 38 ° C( 100 ° F), I was furiously slapping on sunblock and cooling myself with the organiser’ s free flow ice packs( weirdly fun, I must admit). My team was sweeping up ice-cold Fanta Strawberry and Pocari Isotonic from the booths like essentials for survival. Hosted by the World Paintball Sport Academy( WPSA) led by Acha Aisawan, the event welcomed returning teams from across Asia-Pacific while also drawing new faces from Thailand’ s own growing scene.
Several international players, including my Singapore team Red Dynasty Paintball, stayed at the official hotel- Grand BS Airport Hotel Suvarnabhumi. The hotel’ s free airport transfer brought us to the hotel in just 10 minutes. A quick check on Grab app showed that the ride to the hotel was THB200( USD $ 6) if the free transfer didn’ t work out. On event days, the organizer’ s shuttle vans made the daily commute to the field a breeze, just 20 minutes from hotel to field.
