In another act of heroism , a half hour into the game , Jaysin “ Bigfoot ” Smith of The Goats , was literally dragged from his bunk after a long night of festivities . Ten minutes later he was geared up and on field . Ten minutes after that , he was inside of the FOB , which is a heavily fortified structure that held critical points . He and Anthony “ Pirce ” Pircio of Dogs of War owned the FOB that day , holding it the position long enough to secure a prop drop and continued to battle until they were literally escorted out by a shock team of referees to prevent injuries .
The battle seemed to ebb and flow through the rhododendrons of Skirmish lore for the remainder of the
afternoon as both sides wore each other down to the point of exhaustion . Then , as the game wound down , the impending storm arrived with a torrential downpour , soaking out the final battle . When lightning strikes were spotted , an early whistle was blown , but only fifteen minutes before the scheduled game end . However , the consequence was that no flag hangs were to be had at Gold Beach to end the game this year .
In the end , the Allies came away victorious , winning by the same margin they had held the night before . The final score of 52-43 signified a hard fraught victory , marking the second in the series for Allies .
Because of the win , the Allies will have the chance to fight for Berlin on October 21st , and potentially sweep the season . Tensions will be high , and we are eager to see the outcome .
