has a Hall of Fame website ; surfing has a Hall of Fame website ; BMX has a Hall of Fame website ; and so do motocross , inline speed skating , scuba diving and even knife throwing . And most of these websites have deep-dive information on how they operate .
The Paintball Hall of Fame is broken and it needs to be fixed . Paintball isn ’ t a bottom rung fringe action sports game . It ’ s not airsoft , or woodcutting or ax throwing . In its 40-plus years as a game or sport or whatever you want to call it , paintball has thrived and grown . It ’ s become part of the American and international action sports culture . It ’ s a competitive sport , a family game , a corporate outing and a worldwide phenomenon all wrapped up in one and it needs a respected Hall of Fame .
We don ’ t have one right now but I believe we have a foundation .
For all of the written words in this three-part series , it comes down to two very simple fixes : add a nominating and voting committee and be transparent .
