You have to remember we started before Facebook and before YouTube started live streams . We used a website called Ustream and embedded their player on our webpage . Very low tech back then and that was why we were one of very few doing what we did . We had to drive all of our traffic to our website and going traction came from word of mouth and a bit from Facebook . Once we started to interact with our viewers it changed everything . We asked their opinions , gave them a chance to answer questions , read their comments if they were witty enough and always gave credit for every comment that we read aloud on the show . This makes it as much of the viewers show as it is ours . This also caused us to have loyal viewers who would login every Monday night at 8pm and help us generate our own language and catch phrases that are heard at paintball fields all over !
What do you enjoy about the show most ? The best part of the show is the interacting with everyone . I see them every week online and really get to know their personalities so when we meet them in person at events , it is like we have been friends for a long time . The show also lets us keep in contact with all of the people we cannot see now , as the pandemic has cancelled many events and we are unable to travel . the last ten years . From crazy live shows at Paintball Extravaganza to shenanigans that happened during our live zoom show l where I gave open permissions to anyone to join and we got overrun by inappropriate people shouting profanity and getting naked ! It was all I could do to ban them as they all kept entering . It was crazy then , but at the end of it all we had a good laugh at it !
Tell us about the studio you broadcast from ? We have had several studios over the many years of doing the show . We started in the party room at our indoor paintball field where we could barely be heard over the paintballs being shot on the other side of the wall . We then moved then into our retail store but had a hard time keeping customers out , so we moved to the basement of a baby store because they also had great internet . But with low ceilings , poor lighting and the endless dust we had to find a better place . That made us move to the basement of a CrossFit gym where my agreement with the owner was that all classes stopped by 8pm so we could go live . We had to hang plastic from the ceiling to keep the ceiling from dropping dust and dirt
Do you any favorite moments from past shows that stick out in your mind ? We have had too many to mention them all and we did talk about some of them on our 500th episode as we looked back over
