sportsmanship. Day two belonged to the
Red team as they closed in on Blue team
bringing the lead within a couple hundred
points, virtually making it a neck-and-neck
Final Battle.
here is nothing quite like pitting two entire
teams against each other on a shorter field,
with points to be gained in the middle and
watching the players shoot so much paint it’s
as if they were attempting to blot out the sun.
They found a fitting name and a fitting place
in the game for this event, call it Final Battle
and make it the finale. Games this close in
scores are always extremely enjoyable to
watch, absolutely fun to play in and nerve-
racking to command. For a commander you
know that is only takes a matter of seconds
and a slapstick you thought was yours
becomes the other team’s, and you also
have to ready your army to actually have the

courage to approach a slapstick; however,
there are always ballers ready to put their
body on the line for victory. Final Battle is
where Legends are made by racing down
the line, dodging 100+ people trying to paint
you like a piece of canvas and reach out that
arm for eternal glory. Red team’s passion
and drive did not slow down coming into
Final Battle, it actually seemed to increase
given earlier success, but was it enough to
overtake Blue team’s day one domination
when that final horn blew?
Building a successful paintball event takes
more than one person, it takes multiple
people covering multiple items at once. It’s
like synchronized swimming while trying to
dodge paintballs flying past you at what you
hope is 280 f.p.s. or less. There are so many
that sacrifice their time and chance to play
to make these games possible and Hawaiian
Legend II is no different.
