In January of 2019 we began traveling the
country shooting video interviews with key
people in all areas of the game—from media
people to scenario producers, tournament
promoters and players to manufacturers and
more. Our first trip was to Florida in January.
We followed that up with trips to the Paintball
Extravaganza, New Hampshire, Florida
again, Pittsburgh, New York, Dallas, Wash
DC, Philly, New Jersey, Chicago, Michigan,
Maryland, back to New Hampshire, Maine,
back to Pittsburgh and California. We’ve
interviewed more than 100 key figures in the
game’s history in nine months and we’re not
quite done yet. We still have three more trips
planned.
we have so much more. We have been given
more than 350 broadcast tapes, VHS tapes,
Beta, Super8 and just about every other type
of video you could imagine dating as far back
as far as the third paintball game ever played
in 1982. These tapes have interviews with so
many trailblazers, innovators and visionaries
from the game’s history—as well as hundreds
of hours of game footage from tournaments,
scenario games, inside paintball factories
and more. They are truly amazing. We also
have in our possession, more than a million
photos dating back to the early 80s, court
documents/letters, thousands of paintball
magazines, pro tournament score sheets that
date back decades and all types of records,
stats and information that’s never been seen
The interviews we’ve done would easily be by the paintball playing public.
