Then both teams stalemated for a few
flag objectives and no points were scored
for the next two series of objectives.
Then orange battled back and captured
and completed a flag objective and took
control of another flag but ran out of time
to complete the objective. I grabbed
my camera and hit the field to capture
some of the epic battles going on as
there was so much back and forth that
I had to get photographic proof of the
battles. As rarely in big games do you
see teams pushing into enemy territory
so far, then being pushed back as the
other team breaks them down and then it
goes back the other way, and then boom,
reinforcements arrive, and the original
team is back pushing right down the
throats of their enemy. It was incredible
to watch and the amount of paint in the
air was absolutely incredible. It literally
felt like a final battle for hours during the
day and paint was colliding in the air and
hitting players all over the field!
I used my Tippmann A5 with MonsterSpin
barrel system that I developed (Apex 2
tape modded onto an new style Flatline
barrel with the shroud removed). This
barrel has more range than regular barrels
and can really reach out and touch players
at distances that they can’t hit you back
even when shooting at 250fps! So I used
this system to clear areas that blue had
infiltrated and pushed them back across
the road and out of areas we needed to
occupy. I shot a case of paint before lunch.
I took pics for an hour in that time as well.
It was so much fun! Lunch was provided
by Tippmann including a hotdog, chips
and a bottle of water, perfect for a day
of paintball. If you ever get a chance to
shoot a MonsterSpin system, try it as it
will have you laughing maniacally all over
