hit. Crook then turned around and shot out Archangel Mikel as he was moving to eliminate what he thought was the last Buccaneer. This incredibly quick thinking by Crook provided a short-lived advantage to the Buccaneers until Shane Bunnell evened everything back out by eliminating Mamba. In the end it was Crook’s quick thinking and quick moving that gave the Buccaneers side choice for Saturday morning, the longest day of the event. The Buccaneers chose the right side and left the swamp for the Marauders to deal with in hopes that it would give them a comfortable lead before they would have to deal with the swamp on Sunday. Saturday morning is to paintballers as Christmas morning is to children. All the anticipation, all the preparations and all the waiting had now come to an end. The cookies were ate, the milk was drank and it was time for presents except the presents weren’t wrapped in traditional Christmas colors but rather adorned with either Red or Blue straps (depending on your side choice). The weather was sunny; the temps were high 70’s to low 80’s with a blanket of humidity, perfect South Carolina weather and a perfect atmosphere for a war! The teams were stacked with the best warriors the Southeast had to offer, the Refs stood alert to protect players and the countdown was on! It seems as though it has never mattered how advanced we become as a civilization, the warriors of old still thrive deep inside every individual. That need to conquer may change in form but the concept still survives. The warrior chants amongst armies are meant to unite themselves and incite fear in enemies, this still holds true today as battle looms the Red and Blue armies began to chant their war cries. The horn trumpets through the air and the animals inside every individual are unchained as 400+ paintballers charge at each other, claiming territory and unleashing hell. With the difference in players being Blue just ten people down to Red this was anyone’s game and with a 13-acre field the answers could come quickly. As expected Blue side made quick work of dry ground as they won the race to the back of the field but were quickly stopped in their tracks as Red filed into position. www.paintball.media 075
