The Valken Cup kicked off round 2 at the CPPS, the weekend
of the 25th and 26th of April. After round 1, we knew we were
going to be in for some great action. With the teams that
were relegated in round 1, we would see them make the
push back into the divisions they dropped out of. For those
teams promoted into a high division we would see whether
they sustain their position within the higher bracket. Only
time would tell.
Cartel Reapers took 1st place at round 1. Would they take
1st at round 2, or would the newly promoted, NG Knight
have something to say about that? Could the Sandbaggers
DC improve on their 8th place, or would this youth team
with an average age of 14 struggle.
With the new layout teams were planning the best form
of attack. The snake side of the field would play really
aggressive while the teabag (Dorito side) would also bring
a few surprises. We also found that there was a teabag
(Dorito) just off the snake 50. Would teams use this or would
they just miss the chance to use one of the most powerful
bunkers within the field?
Warzone Exiles 2 also wanted to capitalize on an impressive
performance from round 1 where they took a 2nd
place finish.
Cartel Reapers were playing well and full of confidence after
an impressive 1st place at round 1, taking point after point.
But it was a team that finished in 6th place at round 1 that
stole the limelight. The Titans played solid all day punishing
teams on their mistakes. This team worked out how to play
