Photo By Zac Arbuckle June of 2020, Black Ops in Myrtle Beach set the scene for what would not just be an annual scenario game but an epic testament for the good of our sport, a testament that saw everyone, Owner, Production Staff, Referee crew and players, put forth an effort to make this game an actual event. For the year of 2020 the outlook on paintball seemed rather bleak with the makings of a pandemic, civil unrest and cancellation after cancellation of some of our favorite events. It did not seem feasible to leave our homes let alone come together for an entire event. The month of June brought opportunities as areas started to open up and people started to venture out but was it enough to bring people together and have a game? The unfortunate cancellation of Living Legends made people wonder about the other events, were they still going to happen and if so, what precautions were going to be made. Dreaded Legends 5, in June was on deck for the CPX crew, were they going to make it happen or not? The field owner of Black Ops Paintball, Nate Gienger, made an early stand to allow his field to remain open. It made the local news when the Governor of South Carolina had decided that Black Ops had taken all the necessary precautions to keep their field open, they were ready for Dreaded Legends. www.paintball.media 017
