PPM: Please tell our Readers about you and how you got started with your Business? YJC: My name is YoonJin Chang, I am originally from Seoul South Korea. I’m a well-known international conference emcee in Korea and have more than five years of television industry experience, including hosting my own TV shows. In 2010, I was first runner-up in the Miss Korea competition and represented my country traveling around the world as Miss Korea Sun. I have a degree in English Literature and minor in Economics, from Ewha Womans University. I served as an interpreter at such international-level outlets as the World Knowledge Forum. I was also a journalist for Korea Times. I was voted 2013’s “Most Promising Female Entrepreneur” in Korea, the emerging startup hub of Asia. Now I have my own startup with a great team in Silicon Valley, my partners include former Miss California, Crystal Lee. Our company, LifeSite, allows customers to start digitizing and organizing their family’s information, everyone that you wish to have access to your important documents can have access from anywhere. PPM: How did you pick your pageant platform? YJC: The Miss Korea pageant is a very prestigious pageant in Korea, its every young girl’s dream to be a Miss Korea. It’s different in our country as they choose our platform for us, so everything is planned out for the Winner. PPM: When you became Miss Korea was there a certain cause you would have liked to use your influence to raise awareness for? YJC: Yes, to create a diverse culture for kids. Our country was invaded so many times that Korea is a very homogeneous race country. One of the things I love about America is it’s so diverse, so I felt that Korea should be more open to creating this type of culture as well to create more opportunities.
