M
aking plans to exit pageantry and preparing for your
next career can be a bittersweet experience. Emotions
about ending one dream to start a new beginning can cause
a sense of anxiety and adventure at the same time. You
might be thinking to yourself that there's nothing you
would love more than to continue competing in pageants
and you really don't want another career. However, you
realize that moving forward is a necessary part of life for
growth and expansion.
As you stand at what might appear to be a crossroads, it's
important to be present with the journey that is currently
before you and cherish each moment as you move forward.
From the genesis of your pageant dreams leading right up
to this moment and/or your last competition are invaluable.
Even after you leave the pageant industry you will carry
with you all of the experiences that you've learned, along
with loving whom you've become.
The journey is never really over, it's a continual process of
giving birth to one journey and then the next. These
experiences will always be with you and have helped to
prepare you for the rest of your life. You will never forget
the days of competing, making life-long friends and most
of all discovering your true potential. At other times you'll
