Instagram Tips to build your
online Influence

eing in the Pageant Industry has changed through
the years. Social Media has played a big role in
the lives of pageant participants and winners. We
have compiled a top 5 list from industry Experts that
can help you become an Influencer for your platform.
1. Have a goal. You need to figure out what and who
you wish to influence. Is it your platform, a personal
quest or something else? Write down your goal and
some ways you are planning to help influence which
market. Be specific, that will help you tremendously
on any social media outlet, not just Instagram.
2. Create a calendar for posting. This may seem silly
at first, but being consistent helps build trust among
your followers. You can use Outlook, Hootesuite or
any other scheduling software you choose. Make sure
you are consistent with postings, any special updates
such as Tuesday morning giveaway, etc.
5. Talk to your Followers, not at them. Engage
your Followers, get them involved in the
conversation. Treat them as you would a friend or
family member that you’re having a conversation
with, keep it friendly. Make them want to come
back to your posts, to engage and share what you
have to say.
3. Take time to edit photos. Photos are incredibly
important with Instagram. If your pictures are not
clear, concise it will detract from what you are trying
to accomplish. There are many programs out there
that can help you “dress up” your photos, add items
and edit. There are many to choose from and some
are free and others are paid services. Invest time into
learning these programs, it will only help with your
goals.
4. Be a Leader. Remember, part of being an Influencer
is being a responsible Leader. If you can’t be
responsible with your posts, reconsider what you are
trying to do. Keep in mind Influencers can affect
others and other businesses, so choose your words
carefully. Think before you speak and think before
you post.
